Student Support Advisors

Job Title: Student Support Advisors

Type: Casual, on-call or part-time position

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to international students, monitor the progress of applications, and keep detailed records of all processes.

  • Serve as a resource to Marketing Administrator and Student Advisors.

  • Participate in various programming activities, including international student orientation and other cultural programming events.

  • Provide student support services to international students by identifying their needs and providing appropriate solutions.

  • Communicate regularly with and works in consort with the Student Advisors and Administrators on all student-related matters.

  • Primary emphasis will be on enrolled students' while simultaneously supporting the admissions effort to continue to enroll new international students.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Have an understanding of NZ education system and/or experience as an international student.

  • Native speaker of any of the following languages:
    - Japanese
    - Korean
    - Thai
    - Spanish
    - Portuguese
    - Arabic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in any of the abovementioned language and English.

  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills.

  • Strong computer and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and good time management skills.

  • Eligible to work in NZ.
